Tarte Cosmetics | Tartelette In Bloom Palette (Review)

Image
Product Summary: Tartelette in bloom is arranged in coordinating rows for 3 easy looks. From fresh mornings to flirty nights, this palette is always in season. It's made of Amazonian clay for all day long wear. Cost: $68 but bought on sale for $38.25   This is the perfect color story for the current season of spring and summer. Tartelette in bloom is a mix of cool tones and warm tones palette which is different to what I am used to and typically go for. However, the shades are still very much something I can work with and who doesn't love a nude/natural eyeshadows?  Over the years, I have tried a few different Tarte products. I can attest that I have had the best experience using their powder products over anything else and this palette is no different. It's been a complete joy incorporating it in my makeup routine.  This palette has the perfect balance of both shimmery and matte shades. I do tend to gravitate more towards the lighter shades just because I don't like ha...

Tarte Cosmetics | Park Ave Princess Bronzer (Review)

Image
Product Summary: Full coverage face bronzer delivers a natural looking bronze to fake a vacay glow. Vegan, talc-free and waterproof formula. The silky, lightweight powder instantly evens skin tone. Covers and blurs the look of imperfections. Cost: $65  ***Cruelty Free*** This bronzer has been a staple for years and for very good reason. This bronzer has stormed the beauty community and hasn't really left. Bronzers have clearly not been my favourite over the years but I have been improving and I have somewhat grown fond of them. It definitely took me a while to figure out the proper way to use them without looking like a dirty sewer rat.  This bronzer is so damn pigmented! Even though it is pigmented, you can definitely layer it on your skin. I love how buildable it is as long as you use a light hand. It's safe to say that this bronzer will last me quite a while before I even come close to seeing pan.  This bronzer is such a lovely shade and it compliment my complexion. I ...

Tarte | Tarteist Clay Paint Liner in Black & Bronze (Review)

Image
Product summary: First ever squeezable, vegan, waterproof cream eyeliner with a unique blending tip is inspired by an artist's palette. Features cushion slide technology for silky-smooth texture and wear in a pigmented, Amazonian clay-powdered, waterproof formula. Use the included eyeliner brush to paint on your perfect look. Costs $32 for the black clay paint liner with the eyeliner brush. Unfortunately, they no longer carry other shades.  ***Cruelty free👍*** I'm always in the market for long lasting eyeliners. Can't get enough of them and it is such a staple to have in a makeup collection. I try to avoid buying higher end eyeliners since drugstore ones work just as well. But I decided to splurge a little bit and invest in higher end eyeliners.  What a fucking waste! This eyeliner is extremely deceiving. It's easy to apply using the included brush and it looks very nice! But it is far from waterproof and does not stay put! If you want to look like a raccoon at the en...

Tarte | Tarteist Creamy Matte Lip Paint in Birthday Suit (Review)

Image
Product summary: A full coverage, vegan liquid lipstick with a light, velvet texture and a vibrant, non-drying matte finish. Provides a bold, matte look with a weightless, whipped texture and super concentrated, non-drying mineral pigments. The long wear formula glides on without settling into fine lines, while the tarteist paint brush wand provides easy, single-swiped applications.  Full size product costs around 27$ ***Cruelty free ❤*** The color is a lot darker compared to how it appears in the tube but it's still a nice nude lip color. My issue with it is the way it settles and sits on the lips. It's very creamy when it is applied but it dries out rather quickly and leaves a weird feeling on the lips. And it wears out  quickly all by itself. I could leave my lips all alone, not drinking anything and it'll wear off. I don't know where it goes but it just disappears. You can re-apply as often without any weird clumping but it doesn't feel comfortable on the lips....

Image
Product Summary: Maracuja oil is a vegan face oil that is used to achieve a healthy, radiant complexion without your face feeling greasy. Not only is it for the face but it can also be used on dry skin, split ends and cuticles. This oil is rich in essential fatty acids and vitamin C that is known to recharge, replenish and gives the appearance of smoother, brighter skin. It is formulated without parabens, mineral oil, phthalates, sodium laury, sulfate and gluten. A regular sized bottle of maracuja oil costs around $60. ***Cruelty free 👍👍*** I received this sample sized bottle of maracuja oil from my Ipsy glam bag. If you don't know it is a monthly beauty subscription service. Check them out right here ➡➡   Ipsy Website Strangely enough, when I smell the oil it smells exactly like this almond oil that I have. I swear when you put them side by side you can't smell any difference. I've tried using this oil in the many different manners it is 'supposed' to...

Tarte: Not So Slick Oil-Absorbing Blotting Papers (Review)

Image
Description: This pack of naturally-derived papers that are meant to blot away oil and contains 50 oil-blotting papers. These blotting sheets are vegan and are meant to remove shine to keep the skin matte without disturbing makeup. These are great for touch ups. They cost $13 which are how much I paid them for. For more information you can check  +tarte cosmetics  website  right here. ****This product is cruelty-free 👍**** I really like the packaging, it's super cute and with an initial glance I wouldn't of known that it contained blotting sheets. With the consistency and the color of the blotting sheets it's hard to tell which areas of the sheet are covered in oil and which areas are not.  I completely dislike the texture of the blotting sheets because they are hard to work with and they make my face feel uncomfortable. Plus, they leave my fingers feeling greasy and disgusting. Unfortunately, I have days where my face is really oily and these papers...

So for July's glam bag the theme is Summer Lovin'. Anyone else immediately thinking about Grease's  song  Summer day's? If you guys don't know Ipsy is a subscription service where every month you get a makeup bag filled with sample/deluxe/full sized products from various companies. For all of you guys in the States it costs only $10.00 while us folks here in Canada, once you convert it to Canadian dollars it costs around $20.00. Quite frankly, I've only had this subscription service for 3 months and already I love it. Yes, I did not like last month's bag you can click here if you want to read my first impression. But at the end of the day I am getting products that are of a higher value than the actual amount I paid for the subscription. Who can be upset with that?  If you want to subscribe to Ipsy you can  click here My overall impression of the bag is that there are a bunch of different high end products that I know I w...
