True Blood |Season 1 Episode 9: Plaisir D'amour (Review)

Image
((((((Please be warned there will be spoilers)))))))) The opening scene is quite something. We have Sookie looking like Carrie from the prom, Ginger is vomiting and screaming non-stop, and Bill killed Longshadow because he was going after Sookie. I'm pretty sure he wasn't supposed to do that. It's quite disgusting how a vampire dies. Quite a huge mess that is left behind. All that was left was a huge puddle of blood, guts and clothes. As if Sookie's night could not get any worse as soon as she gets home her cat is hanging from her ceiling fan, swinging blood all over the place. It's like one bad Halloween trip after another.  After the non-stop hell that Sookie has endured it's about damn time that Bill took responsibility and admitted it's his fault that everyone around Sookie has been dying. I just don't understand why Sookie would persist on staying with someone who has been the cause of such traumatic experiences.  What has been super s

DeadPool 2 | Review

Image
(((There will be spoilers))) Movie Summary: Our favourite sarcastic and wisecracking mercenary DeadPool meets Russell, an angry teenage mutant who lives at an orphanage. When Russell becomes the target of Cable, a genetically altered soldier from the future. Deadpool makes it his mission to save the boy from a terrible death. DeadPool ends up teaming up with powerful mutants to hopefully change the present, future, and the past. Of course before we even have a word spoken in the movie we have a Wolverine reference more so concerning the Logan movie. In the opening scene, we see typical DeadPool acting depressed and self-destructive. No, I really mean literally. At least on the self-destructive part. He lights up a bunch of oil filled barrels and we have a huge explosion DeadPool style. Funny enough, we have a foreshadowing where DeadPool tells the audience he will die in this movie. You gotta enjoy him breaking the fourth wall every chance he gets. That is where I find the

Urban Decay X Jean-Michel Basquiat Blush Palette| Review

Image
Product Summary: This limited edition palette was in collaboration with Jean-Michel Basquiat. If you're like me then you have no idea who this Jean-Michel guy is and why he teamed up with Urban Decay. Luckily, the packaging gave me a bit of insight on who this guy is. Essentially, he rose to fame in the 80's art scene in New York City and was the pioneer of he neo-expressionist movement. The packaging is a mini reproduction of Basquiat's artworks. This limited edition blush palette holds four shades of blush, bronzer and highlighter. (3 shades are supposed to be new but I don't know the Urban Decay line enough to know which 3 are new). Once you finish using this palette you can frame it on your wall like artwork.  Normally, I would be able to give you a price point on this product and whether it is cruelty free or not. Unfortunately, this is a limited edition product meaning it is only available for a limited amount of time. If it was a permanent item I would

Hot Miami Shades Review | Scam!!!

Image
((((((((((((((((((((((Please be warned about this company; Hot Miami Shades)))))))))))))))))) Normally, when I write a review there is this type of enthusiasm within me that wants to burst because I love introducing companies that either wants to work with me or send me their items to review. Well, not this time! Can I just start off by saying that I completely and utterly hate this company with every fiber of my being! And for me to even come to that means you have done a lot of fucked up shit. Usually, it takes a lot for me to build such hatred because a lot of things in life do not bother me so intensely as others. But man does this company go above and beyond for being horrible and overall being freaking scammers! Let's go back to how all of this started. I was approached one day on Instagram to become a Miami girl essentially, becoming an ambassador for them. They promised a lot of cool things such as; getting a free necklace, earning commission off a promo code to give

Sephora+Pantone Universe: Correct And Conceal Palette (Review)

Image
Product Summary: This palette contains 15 creamy concealer and corrector shades that targets the main areas of concern for colour correcting, dark circles, redness, hyper-pigmentation, dullness and brightening. These shades are full coverage and have an ultra-blendable formula. Each palette comes with a handy booklet with application instructions, tips and tricks from the Sephora pro team  This palette costs around $60 but I actually got this palette on sale for half the price! Also, the palette that I have is in light/medium.                                                     *******Not Cruelty Free*********  I truly like that there is a lot of variety when it comes to the shades but also that there isn't a huge difference between colour in the shades. I love that I can do my whole face using just one palette including; colour-correcting and concealing. I always try to avoid using foundation whenever I can because less is more and this palette allows me to do jus

True Blood | Season 1 Episode 8: The Fourth Man in the Fire (Review)

Image
((((There will be spoilers in this episode review...you have been forewarned)))) I will admit I have not been a big fan of Sookie's attitude, especially, regarding Bill. But the fact that he might actually be dead makes her act as if she has lost another family member just baffles me. It's just Bill! Is this what love sick teenagers having sex for the first time looks like? Obsessed and down right ridiculous? Sookie's demeanor is beyond ridiculous. What type of person would think to call a vampire during the day and expect them to answer? I'm really happy that Tara is finally experiencing how a sober mother is because from what we have been shown about her Tara has had a tough upbringing. I just find it funny that it took a possum dying in the middle of a forest for Tara's mom to finally be sober. But what I hate seeing is Bill coming between Tara and Sookie. I hate that Sookie is allowing Bill to alienate her from everyone she knows. But on a different no

The Mummy 2017 (Movie Review)

Image
(This review will contain spoilers.) Summary: Though safely entombed in a crypt deep beneath the unforgiving desert, an ancient princess whose destiny was unjustly taken from her, is awakened in our current day bringing with her malevolence grown over millennia, and terrors that defy human comprehension. Main Cast: Tom Cruise (Nick Morton), Sofia Boutella (Ahmanet), Annabelle Wallis (Jenny Halsey) and Russell Crowe (Dr. Henry Jekyll). I will say that for the first 10 minutes of the movie they really didn't structure the scenes of the movie well or try to keep a more mysterious air as well. In all honesty, it feels like they just put a few disjointed scenes together. There truly was no flow to the introduction of this movie. First scene we see crusaders in England 1277 AD and then transitions to the same area but in modern day time. Then shows the connection of the second crusade and Egypt. Furthermore, we see Ahmanet's story on how she was meant to become the next

A Quiet Place (Movie Review)

Image
(((There will be spoilers within this review.))) Summary:  If they hear you, they hunt you. The Abbott family are in the midst of a post-attacked world where creatures that have insurmountable hearing abilities which causes this family to stay quiet to stay alive. One little peep and they could lose their life. I don't know why when I quickly watched the trailer on Facebook I thought this movie was about a house that was possessed and if they spoke the demon would come out. Not going to lie, I thought my original impression of what the movie was compared to what it is was a heck of a lot better. Within the first five minutes of the movie my movie companion kindly reminded me that this movie actually contained creatures and not demons.  When we are first introduced to the Abbott family they are searching through a grocery store for supplies and right away we see the little routine they put in place; not wearing shoes, picking things up carefully and using sand to n

True Blood: Season 1 Episode 7 Burning House Of Love (Review)

Image
(((There will be spoilers))) The opening scene which comes as no surprise to all of us is sex! Is it bad that I want to fast-forward the scene between Bill and Sookie having sex? I cannot emphasize to all of you how repulsed I am of him. There is just something about Bill whether it's his demeanor or the way he looks but he puts me on edge and makes me extremely uncomfortable. So Sookie had sex for the first time ever with Bill and she couldn't be bothered to find out the specifics of his species. Well heck, no one ever said that having sex for the first time required any logical thought. Don't get me wrong, she is a smart cookie when it comes to any human but with Bill she is a complete idiot who doesn't give much thought to her life or even thinks about her future. And on top of that, Bill telling her not to eat garlic because it irritates him? Well damn, now I can never date a vampire. My fat ass loves food too much. If anyone ever asked me to give up a typ

NYX: High Definition Concealer in Green

Image
This lightweight concealer is meant to obscure imperfections and discoloration without ever looking cakey or obvious. The concentrated emollient-rich formula is easy to apply and creates a medium to heavy coverage. This concealer costs around 8$. For more info on NYX and their high definition concealer check them out  here. ***This is cruelty free 👍👍👍*** This concealer does provide heavy coverage which is why I had to use a brush to blend it out instead of a sponge. Using a sponge I realized fairly quickly that it would not blend the concealer properly. The concealer does dry pretty quickly so if I try to take my time and blend with a sponge it doesn't leave an even finish. Once the concealer does dry it's hard to blend it without having to start all over.  Seeing as how this is heavy coverage a little does go a long way. Which is great because you really get a lot for your buck. Trust me when I do say this though, you do not need your entire face covered in gre

I am proud to say that I will be celebrating the 3rd year of having my blog this month. The first thing that I can say is that it was not easy getting to where I am today.
