Violet Voss | I Rust U Palette (Review)

Image
Product Summary: A blazing-hot collection of 20 trending warm rust hues in Violet Voss's top-rated professional formulas and superb finishes. This palette was created with universally flattering warm rust neutrals and coordinating hues that compliment each other flawlessly. Cost: Full price $60 but I bought it on sale for $30.  ***Cruelty free*** This has easily become one of my favourite palettes! While we quickly head into the fall season, this warm rust/neutral palette is the perfect add on to any makeup routine. It has become evident by the last couple of palette review I've done that I am definitely a neutrals girl. I love the red and orange colours!  I have no complaints with this palette. It's easy to blend, the colours last all day and I have no fallout during the application process. To any of my girlies out there that want a new palette just in time for the fall I 100% recommend this one! You wont be disappointed.  Rating: I think it's obvious this is getting

Marvel One-Shot: Agent Carter (Review)

Image
*This review will contain spoilers* Summary: British Operative Peggy Carter Joins the nascent S.H.I.E.L.D organization in search of the 'Zodiac' key. Agent Carter also battles her misogynistic, bureaucratic Boss, Agent Flynn.  I know that this is meant to be a short film of 15 minutes or less but I thought they would have used up the time effectively. All that really happened was Carter being judged and undermined by Agent Flynn, she ended up going on a dangerous mission by herself to retrieve a vial? After her successful mission, Howard Stark calls through the hotline and asks Agent Flynn to tell Agent Carter she is going to become the head of Shield.  That's it. Nothing else. I have no clue what the heck the Zodiac key is from this one shot. All I know that Agent Carter had a hard time by her fellow colleagues and she kicks ass in the field. If we really wanted to jumpstart something here a little more info on the Zodiac key would have been the best thing to do. Peggy is

KVD Beauty | Tattoo Liner (Review)

Image
Product Summary: An award winning waterproof liquid eyeliner with tattoo-bold pigment and an ultra-precise brush tip that makes it easy to get sharp lines every time. Shade in trooper black. Cost: $32.50 ***Cruelty free***  My pursuit for an amazing eyeliner to change my life is still an ongoing mission. Even after using the KVD tattoo eyeliner. It's really good but it's not the best. I'm honestly 50/50 on this. Some days it's absolutely amazing. And then other days it basically disappears or gets smeared. The second I realized that I rather avoid wearing eyeliner than deal with it altogether demonstrated to me that there was room for improvement.  I'm not sure when the award winning waterproof part was supposed to kick in but anytime it was hot or I was running around doing errands it would run or completely disappear if my eyelids were oily. Summer is one of those times where everything is hot and disgusting but you don't want to look like a hot mess.  Rating:

Wounded (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter #24.5) By: Laurell K. Hamilton (Book Review)

Image
***This review will contain spoilers*** Summary: Anita attends the wedding of her close friend but finds that even on the happiest of days there are wounds that need healing. She and the wereleopards Micah and Nathaniel are asked to talk to the bride’s thirteen-year-old brother, Tomas, who is struggling to recover from a recent gunshot wound. Depressed and demoralized, Tomas isn’t doing his physical therapy and could spend the rest of his life in a wheelchair…How can Anita, Micah, and Nathaniel convince Tomas that he can heal when he’s given up? They tell him about their own scars and how they took back their own lives after they were wounded. And Anita will realize how lucky they are to have not only survived their pasts, but to now be able to make their own formal commitment to each other— and the vampire in her life… When will I ever learn to not waste my time on these short stories? I think that there was only one out of many that I've read that was actually worth it. The oth

Dead Ice (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter #24) By: Laurell K. Hamilton (Book Review)

***This review will contain spoilers*** Summary: Anita Blake has the highest kill count of any vampire executioner in the country. She’s a U.S. Marshal who can raise zombies with the best of them. But ever since she and master vampire Jean-Claude went public with their engagement, all she is to anyone and everyone is Jean-Claude’s fiancée. It’s wreaking havoc with her reputation as a hard ass—to some extent. Luckily, in professional circles, she’s still the go-to expert for zombie issues. And right now, the FBI is having one hell of a zombie issue. Someone is producing zombie porn. Anita has seen her share of freaky undead fetishes, so this shouldn’t bother her. But the women being victimized aren’t just mindless, rotting corpses. Their souls are trapped behind their eyes, signaling voodoo of the blackest kind. It’s the sort of case that can leave a mark on a person. And Anita’s own soul may not survive unscathed . . . This book is exactly why I am going to keep reading through this s
