Insidious: Chapter 3 (Movie Review)

Image
(Will Contain Spoilers) This is the third movie in the Insidious movie franchise and this movie is basically going back to where everything started. This movie is set during the time before the two other movies occurred. And we are getting a look into the past and seeing where Elise first met her team and is also giving us an explanation as to how and why this other female spirit from the further is after her.  Going into this I didn't have much of an expectation because typically the franchise progressively grows worse the more movies are being added on but this one was a nice surprise! It had quite a few jumps scares, it expended on Elise's background and had a new take on the Insidious world.  Quinn is a young girl trying to get in contact with her mother who has passed, however, instead of her mother Quinn has a demon that attaches itself to her and tries to steal her soul. When she crosses the street there is this old man in a mask waving to her, essentially, distr

Comments (on my blog)

Hello to all my fellow readers, This post is directed to all of you who follow and read my blog. I wanted to thank all of you because knowing that there are actually people reading and appreciating my blog and the different posts that I write makes my day. I have been receiving quite a few comments as of late and the ones that I have read have all been wonderful. I am so thankful to all of you who support me and my blog. There are some comments, however, that are not relevant to my blog or to the posts that the comments are directed to. Those that are not relevant I don`t appreciate them at all. If you want to comment go right ahead but comment on posts that are actually relevant to what is being discussed. There was this one comment that I received yesterday that made my heart swell (not literally of course) and this reader basically wrote that they have been going through my blog and that they liked my posts and that if the Internet was filled with similar content as mine that

Be free, be yourself

Image
I know I haven't really written a lot of posts about loving yourself, being who you want to be or embracing who you are but I am definitely going to change that. I honestly believe that no matter what category we put ourselves in, it is our obligation as human beings to love and care for one another. Which is why I am going to be writing more of these posts. So, hopefully I can help somebody realize that who they are and what they stand for is nothing to be ashamed of. I wrote this last night and I want you guys to really pay attention to the message I'm trying to convey to you all.  This has  been on my mind for a really long time and I've never felt more free to speak my mind than now. I am who I am because I've overcome obstacles and difficulties in my life. I never had a perfect upbringing or life because none actually exist. I want to share with all of you that I am not ashamed of who I am and what I stand for. I love myself and support myself through time

Jurassic World: Movie Review

Image
(Will contain spoilers) If you guys don't know about the Jurassic park films then you have been living under a rock. Jurassic World is the fourth film in the series and this series is older than I am. I have been waiting forever for another film to come out and it finally did. I'm going to be honest it surpassed all my expectations.  Jurassic World, the amusement park was created after the first park was a complete bust and the new one is actually in the same area as the original one. The park has all these different herbivores and carnivores. But after years of the park running they need a bigger, better, jaw dropping attraction. And that's what they got. I'm sure that those who spent the day at Jurassic world will leave with a memorable impression.  Can I just say as a child I always wanted to go to Jurassic Park. As a kid I absolutely loved dinosaurs and would read so many books about them. Even did a few school projects on them. The fact that there has b

Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge (Review/ first impression)

Image
So I bought this Real Techniques complexion sponge on the whim because I always saw it at Walmart and I was always intrigued by it and by other sponges as well. At the time I had extra change in my wallet and thought "what the heck? Why not?" And after using this sponge for a few weeks I can genuinely say that it is a miracle sponge! Already my complexion alone is overall quite good but added with the miracle sponge. Umm yeah I think I'm going to buy 20 more of these. Absolutely loved this sponge that can do many things. You can apply foundation, concealer, setting powder, cream blush, and liquid bronzer with this sponge. Which I paid under $10 for this beautifully diversified beauty sponge. I would give this sponge 5 stars on 5 for its diversity in uses and for making my makeup looking flawless. I can practically do my whole face makeup using just this sponge. It took me a while to truly understand how to use this tool. And the one point of advice I could give

Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 (Movie Review)

Image
Gosh, where do I begin with this review? Usually sequels never do better than the first movies and that's it right here. I guess you can say since the first movie was so great that this one should have topped it but it just didn't for me. Paul Blart after going through Black Friday madness got married, got divorced six days later, lost his mother because she was hit by a milk truck, and his daughter got accepted into college.  So Paul definitely broke Kim Kardashian's  record of being married for 73 days. Congratulations to Paul! For only being married for six days. And then he lost his mom and after being a hero six years later he feels like a zero. He receives this letter to go to a security guard convention and might receive the safety medal of honour.  Now I'm not going to say that I didn't like the movie but I didn't exactly find it very thrilling. The action only started with only 20 minutes left of the movie.  There were some funny parts

Pitch Perfect 2 (Movie Review)

Image
Can I just start off by saying that this movie was amazing!!!!!!!! I absolutely loved it. The movie was so inspiring, funny, and just makes me feel all tingly inside. What I loved the most would have to be Bumper and fat Amy and seeing their relationship evolve. Them singing to one another practically had me in tears and I thought for a minute that Bumper would not have singed with Amy but then he did and I got emotional again.  Seeing Becca making life choices for herself and for her future made me realize that I'll be in that situation soon but if I follow my heart and enjoy my life now then it doesn't seem so scary. Staying true to yourself is the best way to go at it.  It was nice to see a legacy and Emily singing Flashlight was amazing! That song touches my heart in so many ways and I'm happy at the end at the finals they sang it.  Going to be brutally honest I expected more with the riff off. But still liked it nonetheless. And the GreenBay Packers? T

True Blood: Season 1 Episode 3 Mine (Review)

Well I said it before and I'll say it again. Bill Compton is creepy! And not just weird something is off creepy. But the I'm possessive and homicidal kind of crazy. Am I wrong? Now what I'm about to say may not seem very important but just let me explain. When Sookie first went into Bill's home, Bill was seated in the corner and partly hidden in the dark. He is physically not part of the night's festivities but instead would rather observe and analysis. This part of the scene and his behavior demonstrates that he is a dominant individual who needs to be in control. His dominant nature definitely comes out when he claimed Sookie as 'his'! So everyone is having sex in this episode. Jason and Dawn. Tara and Sam???!!! Now I don't know if this is because I'm a conservative young woman but if you are in love with a woman then why are you sleeping with her best friend? I feel this is the type of stuff you see on an episode of Jerry Springer. I was actua
