Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen: Book Review

Image
This novel is about the Bennett family that consists of Mr and Mrs Bennett and their five daughters. With the family not having a huge fortune to leave for their daughters, Mrs Bennett is worried to have her daughters married to a well established man. One thing I have to say straight off the bat is how did I wait so long before reading this novel? This novel is simply amazing! And beautifully written. Granted there were parts that I had to read more than once. But other than that pretty easy to read and understand.  At times I felt that Elizabeth was being too harsh on judging Mr. Darcy and she should of kept an open mind about him yet she didn't. What was not very clear was how she came to "love" him. And I'm using quotation marks because yes she realized that he is not that horrid a man to be matched with but how did she fall in love with him? That's what's confusing to me.  The one character I've come to love was (drum roll) Mr. Darcy. H

Seventh Son: Movie Review

Image
First off I just want to let everyone know that I watched this movie with an open mind because by just looking at the trailer I would never have watched this movie. But I thought hey I have free time today why not watch it?  There is Master Gregory who is played by Jeff Bridges who is in a way a hired supernatural exterminator. And along the way he takes under his wing the seventh son and his apprentice Tom Ward who is played by Ben Barnes. And together they must fight Mother Malkin who is played by Julianne Moore. Mother Mailkin is queen of all the evil witches and is one of the most powerful ones.  First off, Julianne Moore is one hell of an evil witch! She played that role so well it helped to overlook the bad script that was attached to this move. Honestly, what were the writers thinking? Just because you have a bunch of supernatural creatures and nice graphics you don't need a well written script? If Mother Malkin was so powerful how come I didn't see her do so

Advice on grades

Grades whether if you are in high school, college, or university are important but how important? I noticed the other day one of my friends was not very happy with the last couple of grades that he received. I saw how down he got and how he started to become depressed in a sense. Not only that but I also had a guy asking me advice on how to balance the school life with everything else. The first thing that I realized is that a grade will not define me as a person. It just won't and I won't allow it. Yes, grades are important but if you are not happy then what is the point? This is YOUR life no one else's. A grade is just a grade. It is a number, that's it. I take my schooling seriously but I have my own study habits. But if I get a bad grade you want to know what I do? I move on!!!! Your health is first and foremost the most important thing to you. Why would you want to sacrifice that for a grade? Does that make sense?  I'm not bashing school in any way sha
