Deadpool (Movie Review)

Image
(((Will Contain Spoilers))) Summary: This is the origin story of Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds) who is a former special forces operative that is currently working as a mercenary. Wilson was subjected to a rogue experiment that left him disfigured, gave him accelerated healing and he adopts his alter ego aka +Deadpool . With help from mutant allies Deadpool will use his new abilities to hunt down the man who nearly destroyed his life. The opening credits definitely demonstrated Deadpool's personality. Before the action started we had Deadpool speak to the audience and tell us how he got starred in his own movie which he indiscreetly mentioned Wolverine. However, when he was in the SUV kicking butt he put a cigarette lighter in one of the henchmen's mouth and said "I've never said this but don't swallow!" OMG!!! I died of laughter I couldn't stop laughing. Ten minutes into the movie and I can't stop laughing. I thought him saying that would be the b...

NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Cruella (Review)

Image
Yay another review! LOL so today I will be reviewing  +NARS Cosmetics  Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Cruella. I originally received it as a free birthday present from +Sephora  for being a member. I got it in a sample size which I roughly estimated that it's worth $19.50 but that's if you buy it directly from NARS otherwise (it costs more!!!) I've been noticing that products shown on a brands website will have a lower price compared to what is listed at Sephora. I get it financially wise but as far as a customer that just plainly sucks. Besides I'm a frugal shopper and having to pay more at one place when I can obviously have it cheaper somewhere else is the best option for me.  The full sized pencil at NARS is listed at $26. Basically, this is a combination of lipstick and lip pencil. It is not supposed to dry out the lips and it is not a twist up. It is formulated to be long lasting and made with vitamin E for creaminess.  First off, I have to say that t...

Ipsy January Glam Bag 2016 (First Impressions)

Image
OMG I am so far behind! Okay so I know I have been falling behind on these first impressions but I promise that I will catch up. Now if all of you do not know  Ipsy  is a beauty subscription service that for $10 or $20 for us Canadians a month you will receive 4-5 beauty products ranging from sample to full sizes. This is beneficial to those who want to try out different and new beauty products that otherwise wouldn't necessarily have been able to find in drugstores. Plus the value of the products you receive are higher than the $10 or $20 that you would pay. So before I start off with the items I received I'll just tell you of this month's theme. So for the month of January the theme is All Eyes on You which is somewhat cool and it did match with the bag design but I still got a product that had nothing to do with the theme. I find that Ipsy has certain themes that don't match up with the products that they give. Kinda weird but oh well. As long as I get my bag wit...

Make Up For Ever Smoky Extravagant Mascara (Review)

Image
Time for another review! As you can see from the picture below I have a sample of the smoky extravagant mascara from  +MAKE UP FOR EVER . The full size at  Sephora  retails for $30 and contains 0.23oz. While the one I have contains 0.13 oz and is worth about $17. As strange as it may be I was really sure that it originally cost $28 but I guess they bumped up the price.  This mascara is meant to add volume, length and curl while also being clump-free. The mascara is meant to be long-lasting while being able to define each lash for a extravagant impact.  I have to say that this mascara does not clump unless you don't wait for the first coat to dry and there is no fall out. I love the length that it gives me because I can't wear fall lashes due to my glasses (I know! The horror!) I did notice that after 14 hours the mascara does smudge under my eyes but I feel like my lashes look a lot fuller and longer which is what I love. However, I did find when apply...

Barbershop: The Next Cut (Movie Review)

Image
((((Will Contain Spoilers))))) Barbershop: The Final Cut is the third installment of the Barbershop movie franchise that first started back in 2002. And I wish I knew that before having watched the movie. When I watched it I felt as if I was missing the backstory and development of the characters and the evolution of the Barbershop. So I was on a mission and I watched the first two installments. I always loved Ice Cube as an actor and these movies did not disappoint. So if you guys haven't watched the first two movies then I highly recommend that you do so. Especially, if you want to be in on those specific references. In the third movie we have actors such as; Ice Cube, Cedric the Entertainer, Nicki Minaj, Tyga and many more. Due to harsh economic times both Calvin and Angie had to merge their businesses. However, the ever known 'man-cave' aka barbershop has been introduced to a more feminine clientele and stylists. Tossing aside the ever present battle of the sexes, ...

Jordache Jeans Review

Image
For today's review I'm going to change it up a little. I don't usually write reviews on clothing pieces but I thought heck why not? If I'm sharing with you my advice, experiences and thoughts I might as well let all of you know what I where on a daily basis.  Now the jeans I am reviewing for you are Jordache jeans. Now before you say anything I know what you are thinking. Jordache jeans??? Amanda are you insane? Their jeans cost more than my school tuition!!! Okay yeah I totally get that reaction. I still have that reaction when I look at their prices but the jeans I have are not what you think.  If you go on their  website  they have jeans costing several hundred dollars that also includes their jean jackets. Now I don't know about you but I'm a soon to be (lol actually am just haven't started my semester) University student that is on a budget so unless I can get clothes that are cheap and look amazing there is no way that I am spending several h...

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Lip Pencil Primer (Ozone) Review

Image
For today I will be reviewing  +Urban Decay Cosmetics `s lip primer pencil in Ozone. I am going to be honest when I first got this product I did not know that lip primers existed or what they were for. Okay yes I know how can a beauty blogger not know lip primers existed???!!! Well I first got the primer about one year ago. You can agree with me when I say in one year a person can learn a lot about something if there is passion behind the curiosity. That`s kind of what happened with me. I`ve really been focusing more on makeup in the past year than ever before. And I`ve learned a lot too. This primer is meant to fill in lines, prevent feathering and to fix mistakes. It is made with vitamin E, jojoba oil and cottonseed oil to nourish lips. This is a long lasting, waterproof formula that is meant to feel creamy and it never feels cakey or dry. It is also meant to glide on smoothly while grabbing onto the color to make it last longer. I have a sample of the primer which is worth $1...

Sweet Ease Leg Waxing Kit Review

Image
So for today I am going to be reviewing  +SweetEase Waxing Kits  for the legs. Basically, Sweet Ease is a wax company who makes wax kits and makes the process of waxing "easy peasy". Sweet Ease wax kits claim to be a super easy to use hair remover that leaves you silky smooth for weeks longer than shaving. The kit that I have comes with 20 vanilla wax strips; 2 after wax wipes and a card showing you how to use the wax strips.  I got this pack at Walmart for $6.97 however, you can find these waxing kits in different drugstores.  When using this product you have to warm up the strip in your hands for a minute or two before waxing your legs. On their website they recommend not waxing on the same area twice which is kind of hard not to do to be honest.  I don't know if maybe my leg hairs have the strength of a Greek God but when using the wax strips my legs hairs did not want to come out! And I tried once applying the strip to remove it in various manner...

H&M Purse Review+Update

Image
Hey everyone! I know this has been a long time coming and if you don't know what I mean then you should go ahead and read this  Horrible customer experience at Aldo and Call it Spring!  Believe it or not I did get a call from the district managers of both stores and they apologized to me for what occurred. Other than that, that's all that I got. One stinking apology. Well I wasn't expecting a $1000 gift card but they could have at least of offered to pay for the purse that I wanted or something of the likes. All I am saying is that I am never shopping at Aldo and Call It Spring ever again. Their customer service was shit and they are not getting one freaking dollar from me. However, I am somewhat happy this occurred because now I found the awesome shopping land of H&M. So I finally found a purse! I bought it a few weeks after the "incident". If we can call it that. So I've had it for about 4 months and I absolutely love it! I bought this beauty at H&...

Image
Inside Out is an animated movie by Pixar. The movie follows a young pre-teen girl named Riley who up until a certain point lived in Michigan with her family. Her father, however, received a job opportunity which causes Riley and her family to move to San Francisco. In the movie, Riley and everyone else has 5 primary emotions such as; joy, sadness, fear, anger and disgust that are located in headquarters or better known as Riley's mind. These 5 emotions influence and help Riley with her everyday life. The 5 emotions are in charge of collecting and storing her memories such as her core memories which are the most important crucial memories in Riley's life. These core memories make up important islands such as; family island, hockey island, friendship island, goofball island and honesty island. Unfortunately, after Riley arrived to San Francisco and tried to incorporate her into her new environment joy and sadness disappear from headquarters. Right away we see an imbalance of emo...
