Sephora 12HR Wear Waterproof Contour Eye Pencils in Black Lace & Tiramisu (Review)

Before I go into full review mode I would just like to point out that these eyeliners are in special packaging because I got them in a value set (I think that is why they are in different packaging. Not 100% why but they are the same eyeliners). I bought a set of 4 eyeliners for $12 but the reason why I am only showing these two colours is because the other two are discontinued. It would suck for you guys if I reviewed them and you wouldn't have access to them. Even though they are in silver packaging they contain the same amount of product as the regular packaged ones.

Each eyeliner pencil is worth $12 which is the same amount I paid for 4 of +Sephora's 12HR waterproof eye pencils. Both shades have a matte finish and the formula is meant to be resistant to water, heat and humidity making it last 12 hours with no smudges. For more info on these liners you can check here on Sephora's website.

***These liners were not tested on animals according to Sephora's website 👍👍👍***

(01) Black Lace:
Essentially, this is just a matte black. It does have great staying power but it doesn't fight against tears. This is an extremely pigmented black liner and is creamy so it won't tug on the skin when trying to apply it. This product makes a wonderful winged eyeliner. I do have to mention that the liner does smudge at the outer corners of my eyes before the 12 hours. The outer corners started smudging after 6 hours.

(13) Tiramisu:
Basically, just a matte brown eye liner. It is extremely pigmented and creamy (easy to apply). When sharpened just right it makes a great winged eyeliner as seen in the pictures below. Can we all just take a minute and appreciate the beauty of those winged liners. There is nothing more satisfying than nailing your winged liner. Strangely enough, Tiramisu looks exactly like Black Lace when applied on the eyes. I do have the same smudging problem with this eyeliner pencil as with the black lace one. And it is always the outer corner, near the waterline. I find it noticeable but not enough to make me look like a raccoon.

Rating Time!
I am going to give these Sephora 12HR wear waterproof contour eye pencils in Black Lace & Tiramisu 4 stars on 5. The reason why I am only giving 4 stars is because the liners claimed to be resistant to smudging and unfortunately it wasn't the case. Even though I love these liners (and liners in general) I hate that a lot of the product gets wasted when you sharpen the pencils. Let's be honest with each other, if we want a sharp on fleek winged liner then we need to sharpen the pencils but like I said a lot of product tends to get wasted. Otherwise, I absolutely love these liners.
Hoped you guys enjoyed this review. Let me know what beauty product I should review next! Don't forget to follow and stay tuned for more💖
