(I received this book to review and all opinions are my own) Summary:  On Remembrance Day is meant to teach young children about remembrance and the toll of war. This book teaches them about the people who offered their lives in war, why we remember them and how we can honour them.  Canada over the years have developed unique ways and traditions to honour and demonstrate respect for its fallen soldiers and veterans. Generation to generation there are Canadian families who have suffered the loss of loved ones due to international conflict and war.  On Remembrance Day  demonstrates the origins, traditions, and customs of Canada’s Remembrance Day in an engaging and easy to read way. Thoughts and Review: I'm going to be honest with all of you, as a Canadian I already knew practically everything that this book contained as far as traditions and customs. I will say that there were some monuments that were covered in the book that I did not know. But...

Be free, be yourself

I know I haven't really written a lot of posts about loving yourself, being who you want to be or embracing who you are but I am definitely going to change that. I honestly believe that no matter what category we put ourselves in, it is our obligation as human beings to love and care for one another. Which is why I am going to be writing more of these posts. So, hopefully I can help somebody realize that who they are and what they stand for is nothing to be ashamed of. I wrote this last night and I want you guys to really pay attention to the message I'm trying to convey to you all.  This has  been on my mind for a really long time and I've never felt more free to speak my mind than now. I am who I am because I've overcome obstacles and difficulties in my life. I never had a perfect upbringing or life because none actually exist. I want to share with all of you that I am not ashamed of who I am and what I stand for. I love myself and support myself through time...

Disclaimer!!!! I received a digital copy of this novel by the author and was asked to review this book. I am not receiving any compensation for my review. ((Spoiler Alert)) This story is about Isabel who is traveling from Spain to Munich Germany to attend an International Youth Meeting. While there, there is an intriguing individual who captures Isabel's eye. And she realizes that he is older than the other students. His name is David and he holds a past that might be too overwhelming for Isabel to handle. However, when these two individuals come together David will show Isabel just what it means to touch freedom.  This novel wasn't as exciting as I thought it would be. What can truly determine for me if the novel is captivating is the amount of time it takes for me to finish a book. Not gonna lie it toke me a long time to finish it. And one thing that truly bothered me about this novel was that there was way too many grammatical errors. And if any of you hate read...
