Smashbox | Studio Skin Full Coverage 24 Hour Hydrating Foundation (Review)

Image
Product Summary: A high performing liquid foundation that helps you face anything. Studio skin evens skin tone and never settles into pores and lines. It won't cause breakouts while controlling oil and shine. It's also transfer-resistant, sweat and humidity resistant. I have the shade: 0.3. Cost: $43 I first received this product in a Ipsy bag which is a monthly beauty subscription service where you get 5 items from sample to full size for around 30$ Canadian.  *Cruelty free* I typically don't wear foundation and I still don't wear full coverage base makeup. I tend to spot conceal when I have redness and cover my under eyes. I do want to emphasize when it comes to wearing base makeup and applying many layers that having a good skincare routine is key and never forget moisturizer! I have made that mistake many times so please don't make the same me. Without a healthy base then the foundation and any additional layers won't appear and blend well into the skin.  T...

Smashbox | X-Rated Mascara (Review)

Image
Product Summary: This triple threat brush isolates and magnifies each lash, while applying its fiber-loaded formula. Sky-high and defined lashes in just one swipe. The formula is clump, flake, and smudge-proof! Cost: $20-25. I ended up receiving this mascara in a Ipsy glam bag which is a monthly beauty subscription service where you get 5 items from sample to full size for around 20$ Canadian. Click  here to check them out.   ***Cruelty free*** Mascara is one of these beauty products that I don't use on a daily basis, unless, it's new to my collection and I'm reviewing it. For my day to day, I tend to stick with eyeshadows and depending on the amount of time I have I'll maybe apply eyeliner. To me, mascara is too much a pain in the ass to remove on a daily basis and depending on which one's I use it tends to get everywhere.  I don't have the most amazing eyelashes so any mascara that can make them pop I consider a win in my book. The X-rated mascara adds a bunch...

Ipsy May Glam Bag 2016 | First Impressions

Image
+ipsy  is a beauty subscription service that for $10 or $20 for us Canadians a month you will receive 4-5 beauty products ranging from sample to full sizes. This is beneficial to those who want to try out different and new beauty products that you otherwise wouldn't necessarily have been able to find in drugstores. Plus the value of the the whole glam bag (all the products) you receive are higher than the $10 or $20 that you would pay. For more information on Ipsy you can  click here. For the month of May the theme is Destination Chic which matches the card and the bag. But it doesn't really match with the month of May. Isn't travel more during June and July? Anyway, the theme never really impacts or matches the items in the bag.  1- Pacifica:  Natural Mineral Coconut Eye Shadow Trio Apparently, this trio was curated for Ipsy which would explain why I can't find this item on Pacifica's website. This trio contains 3 shimmer shades that are named Skinny...

Ipsy Glam Bag November 2015 (First Impression)

Image
Hey everyone! So here I am with my first impression of the November glam bag that I am running behind on. So Ipsy is a beauty subscription service that for $10 a month or for us Canadians $14.95 American you can receive 4-5 beauty products that range from samples to full sized products. If you guys want to check it out you can  click here.  Plus it is a great way to discover new products and companies. So this month's theme is beauty blast. I don't really know what that means but I can only assume that it relates to the galaxy/space. I'm not really feeling this theme but the colors and aura connected to it is pretty cool. Ipsy November Glam Bag Crown Brush (C 412 Deluxe Pointed Crease Brush): Super stoked that I got this brush in this month's bag. I love crease/blending brushes so the fact that I got one makes me really happy. This brush retails for $12.38 but Crown Brush always have things on sale. The bristles feel really soft but the first time I saw ...

Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer (Review)

Image
Hello everyone. So here I have my review on the Smashbox photo finish foundation primer that has become a cult favorite in the beauty community. Heck it's so loved that it has won many awards. And it has been hyped for so long and everyone raves it beyond belief.  So I received a sample of this primer in an Ipsy bag. Specifically, in my June ipsy glam bag. Ipsy is a beauty subscription service that for $10 or $14.95 USD a month you'll receive 4-5 beauty product from samples to full size. If you're interested you can  click here. The full sized primer contains 1oz/30ml and is worth $36. This primer is made to reduce the appearance of fine lines and pores to have a flawless skin. It is oil-free and you can either wear it alone or with a foundation. This is the first time that I've tried products from Smashbox and they have made a good first impression. This primer definitely fills in fine lines and smooths the appearance of my skin. Don't believe me? Just look ...

Ipsy June Glam Bag (First Impression)

Image
Hey guys, So I received my June Glam Blag a few weeks ago and I thought that I should share with all of you my first impression on the products. . You might see some excitement on my face, you may not. And of course I had to add a photo, it is right below. And for the month of June the theme was Swim into Beauty. My overall impression of everything that I received is that I wasn't satisfied with what I got. Granted most of the products I received are from brands that I have never tried before but still last month`s glam bag was better. If you guys want to check it out, you can click  here  for it. Also, I have to pay $20 Canadian for my Ipsy bag since I'm in Canada which is why I was disappointed with the products because they were all sample/deluxe sized. If you want to subscribe to Ipsy or want to check it out you can  click here. June Glam bag: For this month I didn't really like the makeup bag because it didn't really fit with the theme. It was b...
