True Blood |Season 3 Episode 1: Bad Blood (Review)

 ***This review will contain spoilers***

This episode is beyond chaotic, Bill's been kidnapped, Jessica killed a trucker, Jason is going off the deep end from killing Eggs and Tara is about to snap.

This episode confirmed that werewolves exist in this universe! I'm happy that this world is expanding slowly but surely. I like when there's a natural progression of a world expanding and not when everything is out in the open right away, it becomes overwhelming as a viewer and with this show it's not too much so soon. Bill gets kidnapped by drug addict werewolves hooked on V gets away from them and the episode ends with the gang in wolf form. I'm over Bill as a character so if they kill him then awesome.

One thing that I noticed that I found so shitty is that Sookie instead of making sure Jessica is ok only goes to see her to see if Bill reached out to her. Sookie acts like Jessica is not even a person but an accessory to use at her convenience. Here is Jessica a newborn vampire and instead of checking to see if she's fed or checking on her wellbeing trying to comfort her she only uses her as a lojack to find her boyfriend. For someone who is portrayed as a innocent and sweet person I find Sookie is very much guided by her selfish needs.

I always knew something was off about Queen Sophie-Anne cause anybody who is extremely showy has something to hide. In this episode, it's revealed that the reason why she has Eric selling vampire blood is to make money so she can pay the IRS. How embarrassing is it being alive or 'undead' for centuries just to be broke. It's bad enough being broke for one lifetime but multiple? I'd stake myself, thanks. Look at Eric. He's been alive for over a thousand years and he has multiple businesses to generate income. He capitalized on humans being obsessed and curious with vampires so he made a vampire bar/club. The fuck was Sophie-Anne doing? Fucking her way through the ages? Also, for a vampire being around for a while she's a terrible liar. Eric needs to find a way to throw her under the bus before she does the same to him.

Poor Tara has a hard time coping and Sookie doesn't seem to give a shit. Yet again showing if it doesn't have to do with her then it's not her problem. The last we see of Tara is trying to commit suicide by consuming a bunch of pills that Lafayette has in his bathroom. I hope that Tara finds her peace that she truly needs and deserves. She has suffered enough and I want her to be happy.

If this episode is any indictor of what is to come  for this season then I've gotta strap myself and brace for the mayhem. I would love to see Eric become king of Louisiana he obviously has better sense than Sophie-Anne and he's old as fuck.
