Logan (Movie Review)

*This review will contain spoilers* Summary: In the near future, a weary Logan cares for an ailing Professor X at a remote outpost on the Mexican border. His plan to hide from the outside world gets upended when he meets a young mutant who is very much like him. Logan must now protect the girl and battle the dark forces that want to capture her.  This movie has garnered a lot of success and has amazing reviews but I just don't get it! I found this movie seriously underwhelming and a big let down. I grew up watching the X-Men movies from the 2000's and I loved them. Over the years there has been a decline in the quality of X-Men movies being produced and the story lines have more holes than Swiss cheese. This movie, unfortunately, is no exception.  X-Men: Days of Future Past  I did quite enjoy overall, however, there were quite a bit of plot holes that were never discussed or even mentioned. And it's not like we will get those answers from the new X-Men movies that feature...

X-Men: Apocalypse (Movie Review)

(This review will contain spoilers) Summary: Worshiped as a god since the dawn of civilization, the immortal Apocalypse (Oscar Isaac) becomes the first and most powerful mutant. Awakening after thousands of years, he recruits the disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender) and other mutants to create a new world order. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Professor X (James McAvoy) and Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) lead a team of young X-Men to stop their seemingly invincible nemesis from destroying mankind. This movie has been long overdue. We've had countless of X-Men movies and yet this is the first one that discusses mutants having existed prior to the 20th Century. Evolution is great but it ain't that fast. It doesn't make sense mutants with incredible abilities popping up only in the past Century. I love having a glimpse into the past and seeing that mutants once upon a time were revered as gods. Evidently, humans weren't okay with that and they were the reaso...

X-Men: Days of Future Past (Movie Review)

Summary:  Believing that mutants pose a threat to humanity, Dr. Bolivar Trask (Peter Dinklage) creates the sentinels. Sentinels are enormous robotic weapons that are able to detect a mutant gene and zero in on that person. 50 years into the future, the sentinels are not just targeting mutants anymore; they are targeting everyone who are associated with them. Mutants now facing extinction, Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) goes to the past and must rally the X-men of the past to help change a crucial moment in history, thus, saving their future.  Opening Scene: Right off the bat, we see into a dystopian future where mutants and humans alike are being killed and destroyed. In Moscow, we see familiar and new faces such as; Bobby aka Iceman, Kitty Pryde and Colossus. We see them fighting sentinels and these robots are actually adopting/replicating the mutants abilities. It's insane to see how easily our favourite mutants have been defeated and killed. Right away, this movie is th...
