Attending Church For The First Time In Years

If you read my previous blog post then you know I have been on a journey of self-healing and discovery. I have to say that God works in mysterious ways but if you keep faith then you will slowly understand his plan and appreciate his influence in your life.  I was baptized in a Catholic Church as an infant and did attend church when I was a child but neither of my parents did and I eventually stopped going. I've endured a lot in just twenty-nine years of life. My relationship with God has been shaky for many years but since changing Provinces and moving to Ontario I've started listening to him more and praying for guidance. He has shown me the way and protected me in many ways and situations. Many of which include people that I should stop surrounding myself with and guiding me on my divine path.  We're not even halfway through January and already I feel like I've grown a lot more in just a couple weeks. I have been consistently praying everyday and night for guidance a...

Nosferatu (Movie Review)

Image
***This movie will contain spoilers*** Summary: In the 1830s, estate agent Thomas Hutter travels to Transylvania for a fateful meeting with Count Orlok, a prospective client. In his absence, Hutter's new bride, Ellen, is left under the care of their friends, Friedrich and Anna Harding. Plagued by horrific visions and an increasing sense of dread, Ellen soon encounters an evil force that's far beyond her control. I watched this movie last night in theatre with my boyfriend at our local cineplex since they were having a special of $5 per ticket for the next few Tuesdays and this is the first time in a long time I regret my movie pick. I wasn't entirely sure what to expect since I maybe saw the trailer for a few seconds but I expected so much better. I've never left a movie theatre feeling so defiled and needing to go to church the day after. I've seen some disturbing movies over the years but this movie really takes it to another level. I've seen the Terrifier mov...

True Blood |Season 2 Episode 12: Beyond Here Lies Nothin' (Review)

Image
***This review will contain spoilers*** This episode was so intense! It had so many highs and lows it felt like I was on a rollercoaster for the entire episode.  First and foremost, I need to point out how amazing and selfless Sam is. He put his life on the line and would have sacrificed himself to save Sookie and the entire town from MaryAnn's clutches. If that doesn't scream a knight in shining armor I don't know what does. The plan that he and Bill made up was genius but also extremely risky for they had no way of knowing if Sam turning into a bull would be the key to killing MaryAnn.  Her plan was to kill Sam and use his heart to have her god Dionysus reborn into the human plane. Instead, she comes across a bull thinking it was her god coming to finally be with her. The bull rams it's giant horn into her and she believing she was the ultimate sacrifice allows herself to be killed. When Sam shapeshifts back into human form MaryAnn looks at him and asks "is ther...

Angel of Death By: Eamonn Hickson (Book Review)

Image
I received this book to review and I am not being compensated. All thoughts and opinions expressed are solely my own.  (((Will Contain Spoilers))) So I received this book years ago to review (I know I know that was horrible of me to wait that long to read) to be fair I have been quite busy for the past few years. However, I can finally say that I finished reading this novel.  This story follows the life of Emily Dunhurst who since a young age has been seeing otherworldly creatures in the dark. Being tormented by creatures that she can only see her family ships her off to a mental institution. Finally released from the institution Emily who is in her twenties tries to catch up on lost time with her family. Her grandmother falls ill and what she sees at her grandma's bedside takes her off guard. Who she sees is the Angel of Death. How are you supposed to stop the Angel of Death from taking your family away from you? The book also follows Angel Azrael AKA Angel of...

Signs From Above By: Doreen and Charles Virtue (Book Review)

Image
This book is about helping the reader recognize and understand the signs from angels, archangels, guardian angels and loved ones who have passed away. Many signs that are sent to us sometimes we do not even realize are signs from above and this book helps to identify them and also understand them. It is broken up into chapters and each chapter goes into detail on various signs such as; clouds, feathers, music, coins, and even number sequences. At the back of the book there are a few pages filled with prayers that you can use to help you in a particular aspect of your life. Especially, concerning love, health, employment, protection and so much more.  This book has been more than a blessing to me. It has truly helped me open my eyes to all the signs that have been sent to me that I didn't realize were signs. Many people would find me believing in angels ridiculous and would simply tell me that angels do not exist. Well how can you say something does not exist if you've ne...
