Makeup Brands From The Grave | Tini Cosmetics

It's crazy to think just how many makeup brands who were once coveted and have sold out makeup collections have gone under and closed up shop. Many who have gone out of business being Becca Cosmetics, Bite Beauty, Makeup Geek, BH Cosmetics, Marc Jacobs just to name a few. Am I the only one who is mentally still stuck in the past when it comes to makeup? A decade ago makeup was beautiful and there was such a craze behind it that so many brands and collections were being released back to back. It was such a beautiful time in the makeup industry and I love to reminisce and look at old youtube videos. I think partly is the reason why I want to create a new series on my blog revisiting old makeup brands. Some that were extremely successful and some that didn't get the recognition they deserved.

I was recently going through my makeup collection when I found these two items from Tini. cosmetics I have their swizzle stick eyeliner in Blue Hawaiian and their Barfly highlighter in candelit. I received both of these items in an Ipsy bag which Ipsy is a beauty subscription where for around $30 CAD a month you will get 4-5 products (sample or full size) ranging from beauty to skincare.

Tini beauty was originally started and inspired by bartending hence the little martini glass as the logo. Outside of receiving these items in an Ipsy bag I really haven't heard anything about them. It seems like they stopped posting on their social media accounts in 2022 and beyond that their website isn't working so looks like they closed up shop and haven't posted any updates.

It's such a shame that this brand didn't get the recognition that they deserved because their highlight is so beautiful and still so creamy to use all these years later. I honestly don't know how old and how long I've had their products but I am so impressed with how creamy they still are. Do you know how hard it is to find products that are just as functional as the day you received/ bought them? Even the eyeliner is still so creamy that I can apply it on my eyes without any issues. I have some eyeliners that I paid good money for and they dry out within 1-2 years of having them.
