Image
Product Summary: Use your favourite tools with less damage. Lightweight, silicone-free, humidity resistant formula detangles and hydrates to reduce split-ends and breakage. Helps protect the cuticle while styling. Keep strands looking sleek and polished with long lasting smoothness without damage caused by silicone build-up. How to use: Spray onto wet or damp hair and then comb through and leave in. Cost: Around $10.  ***Cruelty free*** I ended up receiving this item in a Ipsy glam bag which is a monthly beauty subscription service where you get 5 items from sample to full size for around 20$ Canadian. Click  here to check them out.   While my hair may seem ‘thin’ when straightened, it’s quite thick and can get frizzy. I’ve tried Marc Anthony products in the past and have had nothing but a good experience. Unfortunately, this time around it’s not the same experience with the bye bye frizz protecting conditioner.  I know I have a hot kitchen but my god with this...

Purlisse | Radiant Glow Illuminating BB Cream (Review

Image
Product Summary: Get the glowy skin of your dreams with the radiant glow illuminating BB cream spf 30. Born from the best selling perfect glow BB cream DNA, Radiant glow was designed to offer a more dewy, glowy finish. Cost: Around $45 ***Cruelty free*** I ended up receiving this item in a Ipsy glam bag which is a monthly beauty subscription service where you get 5 items from sample to full size for around 20$ Canadian. Click  here to check them out.   I love BB and CC creams, especially, when there is SPF. Obviously, by the lack of foundation reviews I don’t wear a ton of face makeup. I tend to forgo foundation altogether and spot conceal when needed. So a BB cream is the closest to wearing foundation as I’m getting. Plus a girl loves SPF coverage.  I found the best way to apply the BB cream was with my hands just like applying sunscreen. I originally tried makeup brushes and sponges but it didn’t blend well and left my skin looking patchy. It made it look obvious that I...

Sugar Rush | Lash Smoothie Mascara (Review)

Image
Product Summary: This 2-in-1 formula (it’s part mascara, part lash treatment) gives your lashes instant volume and length and helps deep condition with a blend of avocado, baobab, and plant oils. The want has short bristles to separate and define lashes, and long bristles to boost volume and curl. It’s everything you need in a mascara. Cost: $25 Sugar Rush was created by Tarte cosmetics. The packaging is deceiving but essentially it’s a makeup line curated for teens and young adults and is meant to be affordable. In my opinion   I don’t know where they thought a $25 mascara is affordable? Drugstore is $10 or less… I ended up receiving this item in a Ipsy glam bag which is a monthly beauty subscription service where you get 5 items from sample to full size for around 20$ Canadian. Click  here to check them out.   ***Cruelty free*** I have never had a mascara quite like this before. The bristles are extremely rigid in comparison to regular mascara bristles. If this is...

Goddess Of The Sea (Goddess Summoning #1) By: P.C Cast (Book Review)

Image
***This review will contain spoilers*** Summary: Home alone on the night of her twenty-fifth birthday, Air Force Sergeant Christine Canady yearned for something to cure her loneliness. After drinking too much champagne, she recited a divine invocation to revive her humdrum life. But how was she to know the spell would actually work?   When her plane crashes into the ocean, CC’s life changes forever. She awakens, bewildered, to find herself in a legendary time and place ruled by magic—and in the body of the mythic mermaid Undine. But danger lurks in the waters, ready to swallow CC whole. Taking pity on her, the goddess Gaea turns her into a damsel, that she might seek shelter on land. But when a dashing knight comes to CC’s rescue—a dream-come-true she should be falling for—she instead aches for the sea and the darkly sexy merman who’s stolen her heart… I have been in such a reading funk this year. Trying to read through the disaster that is the Anita Blake series by Laurell K...

Tarte Cosmetics | Tartelette Toasted Eyeshadow Palette (Review)

Image
Product summary: This palette features the perfect combo of rich and warm, wearable mattes and lustrous shimmers in universally flattering lid, crease, and liner shades. The powder formula is infused with Tarte’s signature Amazonian clay for intense payoff, long wear, and creamy texture. The palette is arranged in rows of three for easy looks to mix and match. Cost: $61 but I bought it on sale at Sephora for $38.25. ***Cruelty free*** I think by now it’s obvious that I have a thing for nudes/neutral eyeshadows. And the toasted palette is no different. It’s right up my alley and was a dream to use. The shadows are buttery soft, extremely pigmented and lasts all day!  The shadows blend together nicely and you can achieve any look from a natural look to a full glam look fairly easily. Evidently from the picture below, I gravitated towards a more natural/warm look just because I find it looks better and I don’t like having to spend so much time on doing my makeup.  Rating: I...
