Sephora Collection | Highlight Lowlight Face Contour Duo in Light (Review)

Image
Product Summary: This creamy contour duo lets you easily create a sculpted look with the perfect shade combination. Modern matte highlighter attracts light and brightens your best features, while the buildable contour shade slims, sculps and defines your face in a natural way. Costs around $14.  *** Not Cruelty-Free 👎*** This contour duo was a lot more creamier than I expected it to be. A lot of the time with cream products, I'm forced to use oils to make the product manageable and blendable. But this one is extremely creamy and doesn't dry out. It's so creamy that you can easily blend it with a brush or a beauty sponge. I'm fairly pale with shitty dark under eyes so the fact that the highlighter has yellow undertones allows me to use it as a undereye concealer since it cancels out the dark/blue in under eyes.  The contour part isn't that great when you try to blend it out, it leaves behind a streaky orange mess. For fair to medium skin tones, the contour color ne...

Urban Decay X Jean-Michel Basquiat Blush Palette| Review

Image
Product Summary: This limited edition palette was in collaboration with Jean-Michel Basquiat. If you're like me then you have no idea who this Jean-Michel guy is and why he teamed up with Urban Decay. Luckily, the packaging gave me a bit of insight on who this guy is. Essentially, he rose to fame in the 80's art scene in New York City and was the pioneer of he neo-expressionist movement. The packaging is a mini reproduction of Basquiat's artworks. This limited edition blush palette holds four shades of blush, bronzer and highlighter. (3 shades are supposed to be new but I don't know the Urban Decay line enough to know which 3 are new). Once you finish using this palette you can frame it on your wall like artwork.  Normally, I would be able to give you a price point on this product and whether it is cruelty free or not. Unfortunately, this is a limited edition product meaning it is only available for a limited amount of time. If it was a permanent item I would ...

Trust Fund Beauty | That Glo Tho Highlighter (Review)

Image
This super cream highlighter is high performance, applies on smoothly and lasts all day and night. That Glo Tho highlighter is vegan and free of toxic chemicals. This cream highlighter comes in a sleek black packaging resembling a lipstick tube. This highlighter is currently priced at $8 on Trust Fund Beauty's website. For more info on this product or if you want to buy it you can check out their website (((Here)))  I actually received this product in one of my Ipsy Glam bags which is basically a beauty subscription box. It's really cool because that's how I came across this company. You can find out more about Ipsy (((Over here))) **********Cruelty free. Not tested on animals 👍*********** I do have to say I am quite a fan of their cream formula. It applies on smoothly and evenly. It's not patchy but quite pigmented as can be seen from the swatch below and pigment is something I love to see in my highlighters! The formula is quite nice because it doesn't dry...

L'Oréal: Visible Lift Foundation (Review)

Image
Description: This foundation is meant to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. While also, enhancing skin-tone. It is medium to full coverage and leaves a soft matte finish to the face. I can't seem to find this foundation on L'Oréal's website but they are still being sold in stores such as Wal-mart, pharmacies etc. This foundation retails for about $16 but I got it on sale for $1.90. I have the colour 105 nude beige. Strangely, this foundation smells like sunscreen.  ***Not cruelty free 👎*** Not surprisingly, Nude Beige is slightly too dark for my skin tone but using a light concealer in the areas I want to highlight helps me make this foundation work for me. Almost like reverse-contouring. Instead of using a contour colour over a foundation that matches my skin tone, I simply skipped a step and put a small amount of foundation all over my face. With my concealer I highlight my under eyes, middle of my forehead, chin, top of cheekbones and above my...
