Succubus Revealed (Georgina Kincaid #6) By: Richelle Mead (Book Review)

 (This review will contain spoilers)

Summary:

Georgina Kincaid has had an eternity to figure out the opposite sex, but sometimes they still surprise her. Take Seth Mortensen. The man has risked his soul to become Georgina's boyfriend. Still, with Lucifer for a boss, Georgina can't just hang up her killer heels and settle down to domestic bliss. In fact, she's being forced to transfer operations. . .to Las Vegas. The City of Sin is a dream gig for a succubus, but Georgina's allies are suspicious. Why are the powers-that-be so eager to get her away from Seattle and from Seth? Georgina is one of Hell's most valuable assets, but if there's any way out of the succubus business she plans to take it, no matter how much roadkill she leaves behind. She just hopes the casualties won't include the one man she's risking everything for. . .

We have finally made it to the end of the road! Not going to lie to y'all but I really hated the idea of Georgina and Seth together, however, I have firmly changed my mind after reading this book. I am a mush when it comes to romance, the universe bringing people together and full circle moments. I am not a huge fan of Seth but I'm happy with the ending Mead gave us because I didn't see it coming!

Georgina out of no where and with no warning from her Archdemon; Jerome receives a letter from Hell advising of her transfer to Las Vegas. With Andrea; Seth's sister in-law only getting sicker because of the cancer, Seth wouldn't be able to move with Georgina to Las Vegas. Roman taking on the role of detective tries to figure out why Hell is suddenly so interested in moving her to what is essentially Candyland for succubi. Already has a job lined up in Vegas, has a prospective new beau and already has a little friend group forming. Perfect combination to get Georgina to run to Vegas and to never look back. Roman thought so and he did some investigating and realized that Seth is the reason why hell is so interested in Georgina.

Roman had a crazy theory but it needed to be tested out first. It was discovered that Seth is Georgina's soulmate! Through hypnosis Georgina, Roman and Hugh found out that Seth's soul or better yet Kyriakos' made a contract because he realized his true love was missing. His contract allowed for his soul to be reincarnated near where his true love was. It was so trippy with every previous life at some point he was Georgina's lover. Throughout the series, Georgina was retelling the different time periods in her life as well as the past lovers she had. All of the important loves of her immortal life were all different facets of the same soul. I am such a huge romantic and I love when the universe just aligns itself. It is no surprise that I am not a fan of Seth, however, Mead has won me over! It makes so much sense why these two would keep being drawn to each other and I dig it! I love the concept of soulmates and sometimes when you first meet someone there is an instant connection that some would say is the moment when you see your soulmate.

There was always a mystery surrounding Georgina's contract and why Niphon seemed to always be messing with her. But in reality it was Kyriakos contract that should never have been drawn up. Niphon was the imp that did both Georgina's and Seth's contracts while knowing they would contradict each other. The whole time he was messing with Georgina was to try and correct the mistake made thousands of years ago. This was a huge discovery and one that doesn't happen often. Roman volunteered to be in Georgina's corner to represent her in her petition to win back her soul. I absolutely loved that there was a trial and we were able to see how a trial works in hell while having both Angels and Demons as the jury. There was a pivotal moment where Georgina had the option to either be guaranteed the return of her soul or gamble on both Seth's and her own soul. That was an intense moment and demonstrated just how much she was willing to risk and give up for Seth and his soul. The craziest moment was when Yasmine (former angel who fell protecting her lover) came out and her vote would break the tie. With Yasmine being a demon one would have assumed that all was lost but you should never lose hope! Because of Yasmine both Georgina and Seth's souls no longer belonged to hell!

Seth and Georgina finally got their happy ending! At the end of the book, Georgina and Seth got married and we found out that she is 3 months pregnant! She finally got that happy ending with the mystery man that Nyx showed to Georgina. A future that seemed impossible but now was achieved. Carter was always in Georgina's corner, believing in her when she didn't. Carter admitted that the only reason why he was in Seattle for so many years was to help and guide Georgina! His assignment was to help her to get her soul back. And now he has to move on to his next assignment. I'm happy that Georgina is where she always wanted to be. She's become a wife and soon a mother. She will live a long life with her soulmate and her soul will never belong to hell ever again.

Rating:

I am going to give Succubus Revealed 5 stars on 5! I absolutely loved this book!!!Going into it I wasn't thrilled because I just didn't see Seth and Georgina together but after the whole explanation of them being soulmates I was definitely won over. I love, love. Even with how cheesy that sounds I really do. I'm a romantic at heart and the concept of soulmates saved this series. Plus the scene in hell was beyond intense. I really held out and kept pushing to the end of the series and I'm happy this final book was such a great read. Definitely recommend it!
