Eve's Diary (The Morganville Vampires #1.4) By: Rachel Caine (Book Review)
This is essentially a diary format short story of Eve Rosser's point of view. I have owned Glass Houses book for over a decade and never once knew that the end of it contained Eve's Diary short story. And it's not very long but about 7-8 pages just journal entries written by Eve.
We do get a little insight on the trio before Claire moved in and Eve's perspective on the resident Glass hottie but otherwise I could have lived on without reading it. If anything this insight on Eve made me think less of her. From the first book, Eve gives off a more mature feel and with the diary entries it made her seem really immature and childish at times.
There was a lot of emphasis on Michael Glass and his hotness which being eighteen years old you would think you wouldn't be writing in a diary about a guy you're into and how hot he is. Maybe if you're twelve but at eighteen? Sorry grow up and get it together.
This will be a short review and this is going to be receiving 1 star on 5. I could have done without reading this. It ruins the fluidity between the first and second book.
