Affliction (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter #22) By: Laurell K. Hamilton (Book Review)

Image
***This review will contain spoilers*** Summary: Micah’s estranged father lies dying, rotting away inside from some strange ailment that has his doctors whispering about “zombie disease.” Anita Blake makes her living off of zombies—but these aren’t the kind she knows so well. These creatures hunt in daylight, and are as fast and strong as vampires. If they bite you, you become just like them. And round and round it goes…Where will it stop? Even Anita Blake doesn’t know. When I noticed that this book was over 600 pages almost double what Hamilton's books usually are I was worried and kinda panicked. This series has been on a crazy rollercoaster of major highs and major lows. Lately, it's been mostly lows so when I saw this book was double what her books usually are I was crazy nervous. If Hamilton can't come up with a decent plot for a 300 page book then what the fuck is she doing with a 600 page book? However, I am beyond excited to say that this is for sure a redemption b...

Jersey Shore Cosmetics | Mangongo Lip Conditioner (Review)

Image
Product Summary: Slather on this balm for soft lips all year long. Mangongo oil has hydrating, regenerating and restructuring properties and offers a unique protection from UV and environmental pollutants in skin applicators. Mongango oil is rich in calcium, magnesium, zinc, copper and anti-oxidants. Cost: $12. Lip balm is in vanilla coconut cream. ***Cruelty free*** I ended up receiving this lip balm in a Ipsy glam bag which is a monthly beauty subscription service where you get 5 items from sample to full size for around 20$ Canadian. Click  here to check them out.   I don't know if I got a defective lip balm but there was nothing that I liked about it. The scent was really off. It smelt artificial and almost like plastic. As if that wasn't bad enough, the feel of the lip balm on my lips was gross. It just sat on my lips , it felt uncomfortable and it was badly clumping.  Rating: I'm giving this lip balm zero stars on 5. This is going to be a short review because this e...

Ironman 2 (Movie Review)

Image
***This review will contain spoilers*** Summary: With the world now aware that he is Ironman, billionaire inventor Tony Stark faces pressure from all sides to share his technology with the military. He is reluctant to divulge the secrets of his armored suit, fearing the information will fall into the wrong hands. With Pepper Potts and 'Rhodey' Rhodes by his side, Tony must forge new alliances and confront a powerful new enemy. Ironman 2 was another great movie and a good sequel to the first Ironman. It had action packed scenes, new characters being introduced and the marvel universe slowly being built. This movie was great but not as great as the first one. I did notice some inconsistencies within the movie which did take away from the experience. I love a movie that is flawless, 'makes sense' to the audience and the story has a natural flow to it. Unfortunately, there were some scenes that I noticed were either rushed or it wasn't as impactful as it should of been...
