Beauty (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter #20.5) By: Laurell K. Hamilton (Book Review)

Image
***This review will contain spoilers*** Summary: You’d think I’d get used to seeing such a beautiful man and knowing he was mine, but it never grew old, as if his beauty and the fact that he was mine, and I was his, would forever surprise me. With a vampire like Jean Claude around, it’s far too easy for Anita Blake to doubt her own appearance—and the hold it has on those who love her. But one hot tub and two incredibly sexy men—Jean Claude and Asher—will make her feel like the most lusted-after woman alive…or undead. Not bad for a mere human… This e-book was meant to be a spicy outtake from Kiss The Dead  but nothing was really too spicy about it. I've read some of Hamilton's short stories and e-books before and this has got to be the shortest one ever. If anything, I believe this little scene was probably cut during the editing phase an to make a quick buck they released it as a e-book.  Hamilton hasn't been shy about adding unnecessary sexual content and scenes. She ha...

Freeman Beauty | Mint And Lemon Clay Mask (Review)

Image
Product Summary: This clay mask enhanced mint and lemon extract helps soothe and calm skin. It helps oily skin and reduces the appearance of large pores. Perfect for T-zone and oily skin types. Cost: Around $7-8. ***Cruelty free*** I've been consistently working out for the last 6 months doing cardio 4-5 times a week and all this extra sweat has left me with some clogged pores and sweat pimples so I've been needing a nice little pick me up. I have very sensitive skin and I've had good experiences with this brand before so I was sure I would have no issues with it. And I was right! I didn't need to use it often, I'd use it about once every couple weeks since every session would purge and clean out my pores really well. I haven't experienced any skin reactions. Not only would I use it on my face but also on my neck and chest. The mint and lemon left a cooling feeling to my skin while also tightening it.  Rating: I'm giving this clay mask 5 stars on 5! I love ...

Hit List (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter #20) By: Laurell K. Hamilton (Book Review)

Image
***This review will contain spoilers*** Summary: A serial killer is hunting the Pacific Northwest, murdering victims in a gruesome and spectacular way. The local police suspect "monsters" are involved, and have called in Anita Blake and Edward, U.S. Marshals who really know their monsters, to catch the killer. This book was beyond deceiving because it gave old school Anita Blake vibes and yet when you look close enough there really wasn't much of a story. Lots of words with no substance. This was supposed to be an epic book with a crazy ending where Anita Blake finally fights the mother of all darkness and yet it was so anticlimactic. I don't know why I keep lying to myself thinking Hamilton will redeem herself and give us something half decent but every time I'm let down.  Seems like every book now that I read from this series Anita has a new obsession or attraction to another lycanthrope. Anita is collecting men like Thanos is for Infinity stones. Every book fo...

The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It (Movie Review)

Image
***This review will contain spoilers**** Summary: Paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren take on one of the most sensational cases of their careers after a cop stumbles upon a dazed and bloodied young man walking down the road. Accused of murder, the suspect claims demonic possession as his defense, forcing the Warrens into a supernatural inquiry unlike anything they've ever seen before.  Opening scene: Ed and Lorraine are helping a little boy named David with an exorcism. The demon leaves David alone, unfortunately, Arne invites the demon into him. As if the night couldn't get any crazier, Ed ends up having a major heart attack that was caused by the demon possessing the little boy's body.  This was such an intense and well done movie. I feel that's a theme with reviewing the Conjuring movies. I always say they were well done and executed perfectly. But in all honesty, I loved every single one of them including this one. In this movie, we're expanding and...
