Bite Beauty Lush Fruit Lip Gloss in Strawberry (Review)

I originally reviewed Bite Beauty's lush fruit lip gloss in Rambutan and if you guys want to give it a read you can click here. So here I am reviewing another colour. As you can see from the picture below I have a sample of the gloss Strawberry and the reason I got it is because I got it in a bundle with other glosses from +Sephora

I have the sample sized gloss, their full sized lip glosses retails for $25 which to me is pretty expensive for a lip gloss. These lush fruit lip glosses are 99% natural and are made with real fruit. Real fruit? Why do they have to state that? Are we expecting the ingredients to be fake fruit? LOL But seeing how natural the glosses are, there are less chances of digesting toxic chemicals.

This modern formula is meant to be highly pigmented, rich, vibrant and juicy. They are also meant to be nutritious to the lips and are formulated without parabens, sulfates and phthalates. Strawberry is described as a sheer carnation pink and each gloss is supposed to be the exact colour on the lips as seen in the container.

First off, when swatching Strawberry on the back of my hand you can see that it is pigmented and is the same colour seen in the tube of gloss. However, when I apply it to my lips it's not the same story. On my lips the gloss looks more like a baby pink than the colour swatched. I think it may be because I have pigmented lips but nonetheless it looks like a good colour on me. I really like the colour which if you guys have come to know I'm not one for wearing pinks on my lips I usually go for more vampy/dark/reds on my lips. So me liking this colour is a huge success in my book lol.

The lip gloss applicator is nice and flexible which is great when I have to apply the product on my lips. I find that some applicators (talking in general not about this brand) are too stiff and it feels awkward applying the gloss but not with this one. The gloss does apply nicely and is not patchy. On the initial application the gloss does feel good and comfortable on my lips. I do have to mention that the gloss does last quite a few good hours which is great!

Unfortunately, re-applying the gloss isn't as satisfying. When I re-apply the gloss it feels very slippery and I hate that when I re-apply it doesn't feel comfortable on my lips. How am I supposed to wear a gloss when I hate the feeling I get when I re-apply it? Just seems like a waste of money to me, What really sucks about it all is that this is such a beautiful summer colour that I myself want to wear all the time. So that's a bummer :((( As you can see below I did do a makeup look that paired up nicely with the lip gloss and (AHHH that wing tho!!!) and I usually never like pink glosses/lipsticks.

Now for the rating! I am going to give this Bite Beauty Lush Fruit Lip Gloss in Strawberry 3 out of 5 stars. The reason why I'm giving this lip gloss 3 stars is because I can't re-apply it and feel comfortable wearing it. It defeats the whole purpose of wearing this gloss out and do I really want a gloss that I can only wear for a few hours? I don't know it doesn't seem worth it. Granted this one was quite pigmented and looked really great on my lips. But at the end of the day what's important is me being able to wear it and feel confident, comfortable and beautiful. If this product would have had the same affect re-applied then it would get a way higher rating. Unfortunately, for me it just didn't cut it. However, these are my personal preferences if you are the type of guy or gal who prefer applying lip gloss once a day then heck this might be your gloss.

***I am happy to say that Bite Beauty is cruelty free (Doesn't test on animals)***
